This is a very all ages warm friendly setting
lots of play things for kids if you have them so they would be welcomed

New clothes and fabric for the new year

Bring in the new year with high vibrations
a music jam/ drum circle with the intention to increase the good vibes for the new year for oneself and everyone else

Prayer/intention/ visualization
what ever you want to call it
(or not call it)
but this will be a music jam with the intention of increasing blessings for the world

Of course a pot luck to increase the yummies for everyone involved

Make an artistic greeting card for the new year
Vision board style

Be creative with others and create a vision of what you would like for the new year

vision board making is where you cut images from magizines
making a visual "wish list" of what you would like to possible experience in the future
an artistic meditation
thats fun
and creative way to learn things about yourself and others
by what you choose to cut and paste

or make home made christmas cards for your loved ones

I will provide magazines, glue , scizzors and paper

Bring:
a yummy nourishing dish (or drinks) to share with others
the potluck is an important part of the gathering
to eat together and share
so please don't eat before coming
but bring a dish to share with everyone

If you have old magazines to share , thats great, but I have plenty for people to cut from
glitter is always a treat
any arts and craft things to add "sparkle" to the vision board
your self
friends and family who are interested in exploring how positive thoughts help mold our lives
(very kid friendly setting where they can play)

we will first eat yummy food while working on Vision board of images
and than share with each other what we created

I can provide plenty of magazine images for anyone wanting to make home made christmas cards
have plenty of markers, glitter, glue

some ideas:

tea boxes with glue images and fabric on them to make gift boxes
(this is what I will be making)
yarn gods eyes (I have the yarn and the sticks)
artistic snowflakes for the christmas tree

Tomorrow night I'm hosting a screening of No Impact Man, a documentary about a Manhattan family's experiment to eliminate their environmental impact. What they find in their simpler - sometimes more complicated - lifestyle is more meaning, better health, and better parenting.

No Impact Man, an Oscilloscope film, tells the story of Colin Beavan's decision to completely eliminate his personal impact on the environment for a full year. It means eating vegetarian, buying only local food, and turning off the refrigerator. It also means no elevators, no television, no cars, busses, or airplanes, no toxic cleaning products, no electricity, no material consumption, and no garbage. No problem - at least for Colin - but he and his family live in Manhattan. So when his espresso-guzzling, retail-worshipping wife Michelle and their two-year-old daughter are dragged into the fray, the No Impact Project has an unforeseen impact of its own.
